Our client is the leading toy supplier in the Chinese market. In the past their products have been sold by distributors, but three years ago they started an ambitious progamme to grow their sales internationally. Subsidiaries have already been successfully established in the US, France and UK and the company is now looking to recruit a Country Manager who will build a long term business in Spain.
The key job responsibilities will be to develop and execute a sales and distribution strategy for Spain, produce a sales forecast and manage the national accounts. Applicants must have several years successful experience as sales executive in the Spanish toy industry, know the key account toy buyers well, and have the desire and ability to recognize emerging opportunities and to develop creative ways to exploit them.
Initially the Country Manager will work alone, idealy from a home office, preferably in Madrid where most trade customers are headquartered, but Barcelona is also a possibility. The position will appeal to an entrepreneurial person with initiative who is challenged by the idea of setting up a business from scratch. Suitable candidates will be fluent in English, cosmopolitan, adaptable and able to cooperate effectively with the Chinese management and willing to travel to China and Hong Kong several times a year.
The position will report to the President Europe and North America, who is based in Los Angeles.
