Insane Clown Posse jumps into collectables with new card game

Designed for its legions of followers, the game Into the Echoside has already been likened to hit deck builder title, Magic: The Gathering.

Here’s one for the Juggalos. And if you’re not sure what a Jugglo is, you’re not alone – I had to Google it.

But nonetheless, horrorcore, comedy hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse is sure to have its legion of fans (Juggalos) in a frenzy as it finally makes its move into the gaming market with the launch of its own card game.

Designed for fans of grown men painted up like clowns (apparently the group even hosts festivals for the Juggalo population) the new deck building card game, titled Into the Echoside, has been likened to popular titles in the market such as Magic: The Gathering.

Aimed at fans aged 13 and upwards, the game has been designed by Insane Clown Posse affiliate Jumpsteady and Louis Simpson and retails in the US for $39.99.

According to the website, “mad ninjas have been putting mad love towards producing this epic game that is sure to crush wigs into a fine powder.”

According to other sources, this translates to high expectations for the game by its creators.

Playing on the subculture of Insane Clown Posse, the game challenges players to ‘prove themselves worthy and win the favour of the Dark Carnival’ by gaining allies, obtaining items, encountering friends and ‘getting some flavour’.

“Not only is this game fast, addictive, tactical and engaging, it’s enriched with fantastical characters and musical artists that Juggalos have come to know and love throughout the years,” read a description on the Into the Echoside website.

Going by the image at the top of this story, we’d probably not be inclined to argue the point.
